The Old Course is one of the two privately owned archetypal links courses located at the Ballybunion Golf Club. They are both justly distinctive to each other in testing all aspects of golf play. The Ballybunion Golf Club, Old Course demands more length, position and trajectory control. 

The Ballybunion Golf club is set along Sandhill Road south of Killehenny town in the secluded southwest coast of the South-West Region of Ireland, an island, in the North Atlantic Ocean. 

The legendary Old Course at Ballybunion Golf Club was established in 1893 and has one of the best well hidden traditional links golf courses with 18 holes you can ever wish to play at. Ballybunion GC, Old Course lays relatively north of its sister course, the Ballybunion, Cashen Course on a low-lying coastal plain. 

Being located in the Southwest, the Old Course at Ballybunion Golf Club enjoys a stable warm but slightly variable oceanic climate with no extreme weather, all year round. 

Ballybunion Golf Club, Old Course plays to par 71 on the men tees and works up to par 74 on the ladies. It covers an estimated total length of 6,802 yards from the blue tees and about 5,475 from the ladies teeing grounds.
