We have a WINNER!
Andrew Bell walks away with the Cobra S3 driver and a pair of Puma Cell Fusion Golf shoes. Not only is the driver going to improve his game but so will the shoes. I have notified Handicaps.co.za that the large drop in his handicap will not be subject to scorecard fiddling.

Puma and Cobra have some great giveaways lined up which will happen during their release of their new products later in the year. I had a peak at their new range and was blown away...

Rolling Ahead
Our Golfweather team have been rocking and rolling. It has been an amazing month with many new accomplished milestones. The highlights have been the launch of our iPhone app in the iTunes App store and the launch our new self service weather widget..

Soon our news content, player tips and equipment reviews will grow and be way more current with the help of the accomplished www.golfblogger.co.uk. We want to keep you up to date with interesting golf content locally and internationally and make sure the news is always fresh across all our sites.

We have finished the New Zealand database and will have it live very soon. Our geo-tagging team is working hard on other countries so there is much to look forward to regarding servicing more and more of the world.

GolfWeather iPhone app
And finally we are live! The app is slick and fast and is a great addition for us iPhone nuts. Download it now! All our golf countries are integrated into the app and will grow as the site grows. We tried to mimic the website as close as possible in order to apply consistency throughout the user experience. Whoever uses the app will see some nice additions over the next few months too.

We have already started developing the Android mobi version with more platforms to come...

Self-Service Widget Tool
If you would like to show a forecast on your site, then you are welcome to customise your own weather widget in just a few minutes. You can create either a single course widget which is ideal for Golf Course websites or a Dynamic widget which is ideal for General golf sites which allows the user to select a course within a region using simple drop down boxes. All you need to do is visit the widget page and follow the easy steps, then copy the code provided and paste it into your website wherever you want it to appear. You can also customise the pixel width to get the perfect size. Get started here...

New Team Member
Christo Pistorius has joined our team to help us grow. Christo is a qualified PGA professional and has helped us with content from time to time over the last 2 years. It is great to have him on board and I am sure he will bring plenty value to the GolfWeather.com brand and user base.

GolfWeather Version 2
Since our launch 2 years ago we have received great feedback from our users regarding usability and wish lists. We are busy moulding the site to be more user friendly, have plenty of additional functionality, becoming more content rich and adding tons of interesting tools for the weather professional (our Meteorologists feel they need to express themselves in more detail). We are still going to keep the basics similar to what they are but if you want to have additional tools and tricks it will be one click away. If you have any ideas or suggestions which will improve your user experience, please let me know on moshe@golfweather.com so I can investigate and see if we can add it into our next release. Please remember, we see it as crucial that GolfWeather is shaped by our users.
