A Golfing Gift for every occasion

With any luck, your golfing supplies should be well stocked with another festive season under the belt, but chances are that you may still have a shortfall on your wish list, or looking for golfing gift ideas for a partner or colleague. So here’s our selection of golfing must-haves for 2015.

Birthdays, anniversaries, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and other special occasions are all good reasons for a gift and as we all know - Christmas is coming!

With a vast range to choose from, there is no shortage of gift ideas for golfers and you can never have enough golf balls, tees or branded golf clothing.

Golf shoes, for wearing both on and off course, t-shirts, lounge shirts, sunglasses, slacks, socks, caps and jackets, are readily available, both at virtual and real life stores, as are vouchers for leading brands and stores.

Along with all the gear, there is a wide range of attractive and valuable jewellery that goes along with the total golf look, such as earrings, cufflinks, bracelets and necklaces to add the finishing touches to your golfing get up.

Also for daily use, golf watches, equipped with GPS and preloaded course data, along with a range of functional watches with a golf theme, such as a dimpled face are easy to come by.

Golf GPS devices are becoming common in the market with a wide range of handhelds, wristwatches, and smartphone apps.  A laser rangefinder will do all the math for you, while a 3D swing analyser is available on Amazon which can track your club head speed and plane, hand path, tempo and more. There is a wide range of instructional books and videos available too, and Xbox has brought out a golf simulator so that you can even practice your game in the comfort of your own home.

Other gifts worth thinking about is a book of vouchers for a session of pro-lessons, a round of golf and annual club memberships.  Some professional golfers will even let you purchase the privilege of acting as their caddy for the day.  Tickets to major events, as well as holidays to luxury golfing estates, can also be pre-paid and gifted to the golfing enthusiast. Even St Andrews Links has an online store selling branded tableware, wallets and other memorabilia.

If you just can’t wait for that next occasion, there are loads of gifts you can get free online too, such as the Golf Digest Handicap and our own Golf weather app to help plan your golfing experiences every day of the year.
